This recording marks the first of a series of concerts and residencies of the 2019/2020 project Young Researchers II, a follow up of 2018 premiere project Young Researchers. This year’s artist in residence, Gašper Livk, thoughtfully selected individuals with different academic backgrounds and great spirits to form code::source. With Dré A. Hočevar as their mentor, they ventured on the journey of rediscovering themselves and discerning between their own and foreign languages. Successive cycles of preparation, execution, and analysis have led them through stages of increased self-awareness, improved their perception, and allowed them to shed the parasitic parts of their identities.

Album je dokument prvega iz serije koncertov in rezidenc druge edicije projekta Mladi raziskovalci. Letošnji umetnik v rezidenci Gašper Livk je člane zasedbe code::source zbral med mladimi glasbeniki različnih akademskih ozadij in izjemnega duha. Pod mentorstvom Dréja A. Hočevarja so se podali na pot ponovnega odkrivanja sebe ter razlikovanja med svojim lastnim in tujimi jeziki. Skozi cikle priprav, izvedb in analiz so izboljšali svoje samozavedanje, optimizirali svojo percepcijo in za seboj pustili parazitske dele svojih identitet.
